Well the Swan Hill Food and Wine Festival is done and dusted for 2019, and going by the exhausted looks on the faces of our committee who manned the marquee, it was a resounding success. Numbers were clearly up which was evidenced, not only the number of patrons to the marquee, but also by the number of people who didn’t get a complimentary tasting glass when coming through the gate (clearly a miscalculation by the organisers of the event). This didn’t stop us from giving tastings of some fantastic wines though, as we had our own stash of tasting cups for people to use.

And it’s always a pleasure to introduce people to varieties they have never heard of before (nor tasted), and great to be able to exhibit wines to the public from wineries that are not normally sold in the local bottle-o. A big thank you to the wineries for supporting us with supplying medal winning wines for the public to try.
