Yes, we renamed another class
We might rename this year too as the year of change for the Australian Inland Wine Show. After all we have changed our class structure, beefed up the entry fee a little, renamed the NON REGIONAL Class to OPEN Class and now we are renaming the Amateur Class to Non Commercial. Why I hear you ask? Well it was felt that the title Amateur was a little demeaning considering the calibre of those who enter. As that class was always only for people who made wine yet didn’t sell it, it made sense to rename the Class NON COMMERCIAL. This reflects the actual product instead of the skill. So yes, it is open to any winery wishing to enter, the only condition is that the entry MUST comply with regulation 15. Entries in this Class are not eligible for medals or trophies, but are eligible for certificates of Very Highly Commended, Highly Commended or Commended depending on the points awarded. The entry fee for this class remains the same.
