The Committee have decided that this year we won’t run the National Moscato Challenge. After coming back from a 2 year hiatus it was felt that we would give it a rest. However, it was also decided we would introduce 3 new trophies into the stable of trophies we have on offer. We are introducing a Best Shiraz and a Best Durif trophy to better reflect the importance of these two varieties to the wine industry. As we are not running the National Moscato Challenge, we are also introducing another trophy namely Best Moscato. Whether we continue with the NMC next year remains to be seen, but suffice to say all steam ahead for everything else.
