This year will see the Australian Inland Wine Show moving from the traditional long weekend at the start of October for NSW and South Australia, to a week later. The reasoning behind this was to avoid the AFL Grand final, which now falls on the same weekend. It also been obvious for a while that the reason to use the long weekend in both of those States has long gone, given that Judges come from Victoria too.
This may become a permanent move, but this will be decided after Judging has occurred on October 7th and 8th.
